Good for you. Although the Incident is resolved, the Problem remains. Ask them what the hell is their Service Manager going to to about it?
You're right - uninvestigated problems like this have a tendancy to get worse rather than better...

Be Owned by O2.
I've only been with them for a couple of months. They've been OK. It's not causing me much of a problem at the moment, but it will later in the year when I am away off traveling.
My last ISP was Bulldog. They are total CR@P of the first order. I know that they are now owned by pipex, but I will not have anything to do with C&W or Pipex ever again.

ISP support with a sense of humour
I have a minor problem with my DSL connection that freezes at roughly 10:20 some, but not all, nights. Simple power off/on fixes it no problem. I reported it to my ISP and got the following response.
I replied saying that I thought that their response was very funny and can we now look into the problem now. Here are the details of your connection:
Download bitrate 17553
Upload bitrate 1307
1-day retrains 0 /these are the disconnections/.
According to the monitoring system the reliability of the line is fine so I am sure that if you restart your modem once a day it will stop disconnecting you from time to time.
Regards,
