Update: . . . and totaly useless for your requirements - it only does file conversions. ImTOO was what I was thinking of but it's not free ($29).Last edited by Back In Business; 28 December 2006, 19:49.

MEncoder (part of MPlayer) - http://mewig.sourceforge.net/modules...showpage&pid=1
FFMPEG - http://arrozcru.no-ip.org/ffmpeg_builds/
These are both *nix apps that have been converted to Windows so YMMV.

Ripping DVD to Ipod
Son got an Ipod Video for Christmas and has a stack of (legal) DVD's he wants to put on it. However Itunes being a POS doesnt appear to have anyway for him to do it without first converting the DVD.
So, does anyone know of a good - preferably free - DVD to MPEG4 convertion program for windows? If not free then cheap will do.Tags: None
