    sounds like exactly the same problem I'm getting with mine, although I don't use a wireless router, the broadband goes straight into the PC, then the laptop wireless connects to the PC's wireless card.
    Connects fine, but signal (even in the same room) goes up and down and keeps dropping.

    Wireless signal problems

    My wireless router has recently started playing up. Even with the lappy right next to it the network speed degrades over the course of 20 mins or so then drops completely. If I reconnect it goes back up to 54mps and then degrades again.

    I get the same symptoms on a different PC when I test it with that as well.

    The router is a 3Com Office Connect 3CRWDR100A-72

    Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
