Have you installed a service pack or similar recently?
Could be many things...when it first boots, its then starting to load drivers/startup programs/runonce stuff etc.
Boot in safe mode, if it starts...then its more than likely driver. If it does not, then drivers are ruled out and its software/program related.

Ignore this - I'd left another account as an admin (pretty lax of me!) which I used to delete the admin account and then replaced it. Seems to have done the trick.

No error - just gets to the point of starting and then reboots - as though it has been switched off. Doesn't happen with the limited accounts

My XP box keeps crashing, only when I log onto the admin account. Does anybody know of anything I can do to stop it doing this. Works fine in all the limited accounts - just not the admin oneTags: None
