Dunno wh, sounds like major changes. In programming I am LAZY, as in everything else. The website itself is pretty efficient with all complicated stuff in a few includes but got lots of tools, invoicing and accounting software too.Anyway, told you to go down the MVC/.NET/SQL Server route

No mysqli equivalent of mysql_result???? How F* ridiculous!! Why are "improvements" to programming languages always crap?

It looks like some kind of issue wth connecting to the version of MySQL you are running.
Could it be something as simple as a driver upgrade required for the connection?

Sorted
Support told me that, despite what it said on site details, they had updated to PHP 7 and have put it back to 5.6.
Prepare for a string of boring technical questions from me on mysqli!

mysql not recognised in PHP
My small business website is down. HTML pages show but PHP don't and error log shows "Call to undefined function mysql_connect()".
It probably won't take very long to update to mysqli but I ain't got the time at mo. and I don't want site down for several days.
What I can't figure is why this problem has suddenly occurred when PHP is still shown as version 5.6.3. Any ideas re. quick fixes? Ta.Tags: None
