    Open source monitoring tool

    Hi All,
I've got a small startup customer who wants monitoring put in place for a few VMs which are currently being transitioned into Azure. I have been asked to set up a monitoring tool for these (Linux) servers. It will have to monitor if the servers are up, disk, RAM etc usage, as well as meta-ping the application.

Last time I set all this up from scratch I used Nagios. Is there anything currently better/more relevant to cloud providers?
