HUKD (computing section) has regular postings with 960 GB models going for £200 upwards. Samsung is preferred for some reason. 960GB seems to be the largest capacity.
Here is their recent discussion of a smaller (480GB) model:
480GB Crucial BX200 SSD £99.99 Delivered @ Amazon - Hot UK Deals
Of cource, GB for GB, spinning disks are still about 8 times cheaper. £50 gets you 2 TB now.

Not done it with an SSD, but can recommend this - Samsung M9T 2TB 9.5mm SATA 2.5 inch Internal Hard Drive, PS4 Compatible: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
Replaced mine a couple of months ago, takes about 10-15 minutes. There is a guide on the playstation website too. Just back up all your saves to your PS account first.
