How does IE know? (Minor problem)

Cheers. I cleared the lot including "cookies and website data".

However, looking in appdata I find lots of old cookies are still there! Will do a search and see if any map stuff.

Update:
It seems IE does not delete all cookies. Knocked up one of my Excel botches to delete any I don't like look of.

Not work related, so not important but just irritating.

I used Bing footpath maps in IE for planning my rambles. Then I decided to click on the new Bing maps link and now that's all that comes up when I open my usual favourite. Can't get the old OS footpaths maps anymore. They are still around as the page comes up fine in Chrome.

I have tried opening IE in another page and clearing all the history but that doesn't work. Any ideas? Ta.

Are you clearing the History or the "Temporary Internet Files"?
Or both?
Usually this sort of thing is what they call a sticky cache.
You may also need to clear all Cookies (and Doughnuts...).
