My deepest apologies sir. Obviously you are the scariest monster ever. Weeping Angles are trailing a long way behind in second place.

can a single person in a group of watchers prevent many angels from moving? If so how many?

    it's not real

can they be fooled by painting a picture of an eye on the eyelids? Or forehead?

    it's not real

is it enough to keep an eye on them in your peripheral vision, or does the eye's fovea need to be focussed directly on a single angel?
Does it have to be a human watcher? (a rabbit can see almost 360 degrees, so could be a useful accessory). A spider with its compound eyes might be useful too.
What if you have a visual impairment. Are short-sighted people less effective watchers?
Can they be shielded from your gaze, e.g. By sneaking up behind something. If so, why don't they just cover up their own eyes and thus have complete freedom of movement

as i've said before. If the concept doesn't have more flaws in it than the empire state, it isn't doctor who. I guess i'm happier than most to willingly suspend disbelief and just enjoy it - life is far too important to be taken so seriously. Story-telling and ideas. That's what i watch it for. not congruence with reality - because there isn't any!

The leaps are instantaneous, when they make them. The distance of the leap depends on how much energy they have. Making a leap takes a certain amount of energy too. Immediately after making a leap, they may not be able to make another one for a while.

As many as are in his field of vision.

No, it's a quantum thing. While under observation, their wave function collapses, and they're stone. The question of what "observation" means is a long standing problem of quantum mechanics, seeming to imply some kind of conciousness/sentience on the part of the observer

It all depends on what observation means in quantum mechanical terms.

Can they can sneak up behind you?

    Oh yes.

I'm just watching it again on BBC3. It's still quite scary... Weeping angels have got to be the scariest monsters.

I thought the episode was great. Just how the River character has him under the thumb cracks me up.

In the last River Song story confidential, Alex Kingston said that she wanted to be Sigourney Weaver in Aliens.

As for the idiotic promo at the end, I don't think they will ever do that again.

    started a topic Weeping Angels

    Weeping Angels

Shades of "The Ring", I feel. Plus, whatever numpty scheduled the Dorothy trailer right at the moment of greatest tension ... well, he'd better not blink.

Working...
