We have a very long handled teaspoon that I pinched from some shop - it was provided to eat an ice-cream sundae.

My wife uses it for getting the coffee out of the bottom of large coffee jars.

I use it to get the last of the mango chutney out of mango chutney jars.

I always make a point of sucking the spoon clean but then drop it into the dishwasher, rather than back in the jar.
