    In the good old days one could do things really cheap by hitchhiking. Did much of Europe in my 20s. What happened to hitchhiking? Only seen one hitchhiker in over 3 years.

    Cheap travel to the benched ones

    I noticed that some people seem to be depressed being on the bench and do nothing.
    Well it's middle of the summer and it's a very good time to travel.
    You're one of the few lucky ones that have a great flexibility on travel dates at the last minute notice.
    With that in mind you can travel really cheap.
    I suggest you visit gumtree or ebay and browse for whatever is on there, quite a few people have to give up their holiday plans and they're usually quite desperate.
