Mental hospitals used to be nice places (from the outside). There's an impressive one on the left of the M23 as you head towards London and another near the A2 past Dartford. Not sure what they are now.

I lived near there in the 70s. It was Purdown mental hospital then. We used to have to go for school country runs though that field in the picture...

...only it was the middle of winter and the field would be three foot deep in freezing cold water full of cowpats. It was like something out of Scum. Mind you, everything about school in the 70s was like something out of Scum, so I don't know what my point is really.

anybody know what the big yellow building is on the left hand side as you come out of briston towards the M4 ?
I tried google earth & maps and it didn't seem to exist
