    God this is old hat

It takes 3 minutes to clear it manually, that is quicker than downloading a prog to do it for you.
If you want, I will pop round and clean MBS for you all, might take me about 8 hours though at £44.00 per hour plus travel plus £18 call-out + VAT

    Apologies guys.

    Instead of:

'I think that Prevx2.0 is the simplest way for us computer dummies.'

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE delete the word 'us' and read it as:

'I think that Prevx2.0 is the simplest way for computer dummies.'

By 'us' I meant CelestialCJ, kato111 and myself. Not all you computer buffs.

    Forgiven, I hope.

Please don't. This is a computer contractors forum, not an Indian Helpdesk!

    CelestialCJ, kato111 and other 'victims'

MBS popups can definitely be removed by downloading Prevx2.0 Antivirus.

Several other Antivirus programs claim this too and are available by searching for MBS in google. Some are free for certain periods, others you pay from the start.

Download Prevx2.0 from http://www.prevx.com .When on the site, click on where it says 'Download'. It is available free for 1 month (the whole program) then they are very fair and still detect malware after that period but won't delete the malware (as during the free trial) until you subscribe; much cheaper than most AVs. It will do its detecting, place the offending files, not just of MBS but all others which your existing Antivirus has missed, into a 'JAIL'. It is then up to you to delete those files in the JAIL. and from the shortcut on your desktop and in the start program. Your computer will be clear.

Also claiming success 'spynomore', 'Virusvault', and several others.

    Also visit
http://andymerrett.co.uk/2007/03/03/...ware/#comments Read it all, over 330 postings, and several removal methods are there including System Restore explained by contributor 'Sussex'.

http://michaelpollitt.com/wordpress/?p=142 Some methods in there. Send Michael your IE History, he tells you how to achieve that. He write for the Guardian and is investigating how these files are lodged onto computers.

Lots of reading there and several removal methods under 'MBS Bill'

I think that Prevx2.0 is the simplest way for us computer dummies.

Good luck. Please come back to this forum with your results

When I removed the files in safe mode, I deleted about 6 files in total, all with the same date/time stamp. Did you definitely get rid of all the files? There were 2 executables at least.

Any mildly-knowledged individuals will know to not accept installations from porn websites, as most of they times they are bulltulip porn-dialers or equivalent. If these idiots think they will be receiving £19.99 from me, they have to first prove that i accepted their terms; though i'm sure they can and will not.

£19.99 is not a lot of money, but jesus christ, they must think the world is full of idiots who would agree to pay such bulltulip claims from a company who have one thing in mind; their money. They can rot in hell, cheeky sods.
Calm down dear, it's only a commercial.
