Some words of wisdom once given to me by a fellow contractor.
Women assign points for presents send to them, but the value of points given does not increase with the value of the present.
You could buy your wife 1 thing in a year, that £40,000 4x4 she really wants, and you would get 10 points for the year.
Or, you could by your wifea £5 bunch of flowers every fortnight for a year and you would get 5 points for every bunch of flowers given to her.
In the first case you get 10 points for the year, and in the second you get ~120 points for the year.
So overall by spending much less money on a frequent basis you will be in her good books longer and she will love you more.
The morale of the story:
Regulary buy your missus cheap tack to keep her happy!!
