And the difference in bus fare is between what, from 15 quid to 20?

Didn't something kick off over there about 60 years ago?

If that were true, why do so many asylum seekers, asian illegals, and other assorted immigrants cross continental Europe to get to the UK?

And even if it were true, we shouldn't feel too relieved about it. The German people (and the French) will get fed up with it too, and something will kick off over there.

We need the immigrants to push house prices to infinity.

I hope every 3rd world country in the world joins the EU.

Then I can sell up, have £1M in equity and live happily ever after away from Bliar and Brownstuff.

So why did 600,000 + choose the UK?

(One possible reason: anyone know the relative proportions of Poles with English and German as second languages.)

That would be because Bucharest is in Romania, which isn't in the EU yet. When it joins the EU, you won't need a visa, or cash in the bank. Just the bus fare.

Exactly. And still cheaper than the locals. No wonder unemployment is up and fat cat business 'leaders' are demanding more of them.

Cash in hand jobs mostly. The number of adverts you see from polish cleaners, plumbers etc is huge - even saw one from a blacksmith.

Well, I think its impossible to earn a lot of money in this country on low paid (national minimum) jobs, even though I'd agree that IF living costs are cut by sponging on the state resources, then it might be possible to earn some cash, perhaps that's what they are doing. Suppose this would be the only logical way to explain situation with increasing numbers.

I don't believe it is just tales. Numbers are increasing, and they are not going back.
If the UK wasn't an easy touch, you'd think at least those homeless Poles would go back to their home in Poland.
