Finally sorted a new contract out after 2 months on the bench.
Initially the market seemed buoyant around April, but then seemed to quiet down. Then an interview Tuesday, an interview with a second company on Wednesday, then they both phoned me on Thursday in the space of 10 minutes to offer me the roles*.
Thankfully the one I really wanted phoned first.
Highest rate ever, £50 a day higher than last highest rate too
*I actually let the second one go to voicemail, and then phoned him back today after I received all the onboarding info from the contract I accepted.
