    I agree exclude expenses.

I would also set the salary at the 90th percentile for the relevant pay range, these are of course exceptional staff that aren't available in the UK.

Taxation would be from day one and monthly so they can't spend six months here and six months in India and avoid tax. so £60K salary declared they would pay six months PAYE as if they were going to work all year.

    And no subbing out.

That would sort the men from the boys. But of course they would just pay them for 6 months and give them an unpaid internship for 6 months.

I'm sure they would like to try, unfortunately for them I don't care where the onshored workers come from and I'm not for imposing any sort of quota, if they genuinely need to be here fine but they shouldn't come here by undercutting resident workers.

I just want business expenses excluded from the UKBA definition of salary just like they already do for chefs (standard occupation code 5435)

Their sponsors can then decide if they want to onshore them at the UK taxable salary rate or hire a resident worker or contractor instead.

As most of these bods are working on client contract and the rates will be double that you are looking at over £500m per annum as a subsidy to their sponsoring companies.

I would like to see Cameron or Clegg put on the spot and defend that in the run up to the next election. They have no problem bashing the bankers or Amazon or Google but then that is easy because they cannot do anything about that. Here they can.

well if it gets exposure then things might change, we thought we were never going to get immigration down or a vote on the EU but it may happen now.

looks really good, when can we implement in UK?

maybe worth sending to our Nige to raise as an issue?

If Canada succeed then UK could follow.
