I think what he says makes sense - women will want to make pair bonds with stable resourceful men who are NOT good with women, in order to have support for her offspring in the long term (i.e. he is less likely to cheat).
But for the baby itself she wants the genes of an exciting alpha male who is high in the pecking order because he can provide very high quality genes. This guy won't commit to her because he is too busy playing the field, but the genes he gives her are a-o-k.
It is better for this guy to be a stranger because he'll be less likely to know the husband and make him realise he's been cuckolded.
I've been learning about this in a dating tuition package that I've recently purchased online. Most interesting. And (amazingly) I have been starting to get some results from it
