    Was 28th Feb (when I got my first contract) kinda ****ed me when there was a leap year as all my books was set to end on the 28th and start on the 1st

    End of November, because that's when the company was set up. VAT is out of sync with that date as well.

    My thinking is that a January year end would clash with personal tax returns, so if you need any accountancy advice they may be too busy. Likewise March / April.

    The downside of having a November year end is that the corporation tax needs to be paid and filed over the summer, which has caused issues in the past when I go away for a month.
