Just done my retained profit calculation and all in all it's not been a bad year.
Think I may be getting a new stable for my old nag!

January year end here. Surely nobody actually leaves their personal tax returns to January do they?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostMy thinking is that a January year end would clash with personal tax returns, so if you need any accountancy advice they may be too busy. Likewise March / April.

End of November, because that's when the company was set up. VAT is out of sync with that date as well.
My thinking is that a January year end would clash with personal tax returns, so if you need any accountancy advice they may be too busy. Likewise March / April.
The downside of having a November year end is that the corporation tax needs to be paid and filed over the summer, which has caused issues in the past when I go away for a month.

Poll fail. You need a multi-select poll.
And a better AndyW option wouldn't go amiss.

I was just wondering why do they call it a "made up date". Why not make everything up like in the daily mail?
