Can't you just use P2P like everyone else for your 'Disney' fix...?

Just so that I can be unhelpful too
Some DVDs will not play on "region-free" players. Instead of just checking that it's not the wrong region, they check that it's the right region.Originally posted by TrollThat's what Sony do... what you need is one that can set to region 0
Commonest perpetrators of this are Disney DVDs; don't know if that will bother you.
In reality, you only need 2 regions, don't you? So 2 players would be a trouble-free guaranteed solution integrating a partial backup facility.

Don't you mean Scam....
When I was working for Sony they bought 2 brand new servers off Scan. The machines arrived the next day with another companies labels stuck on them and they still had data on them. It would appear the other company had got them, not liked them and sent them back and then Scan sent them out to Sony without wiping them, or removing identifying marks.
Then to add insult to injury they tried to refuse to take them back after Sony told them where they could stick thier second hand servers. Definetly a company to avoid IMHO.

That's what Sony do... what you need is one that can set to region 0Originally posted by PaddyBe careful, some advertised multi-region DVD players will limit the number of times you can change region. A cheaper option would be to buy two or thee cheap DVD players set to a different region.
