Don't forget to prepare for your 360, annual review, et al.

That's what keeps me away from permie, even more than the money. I just want to do my job.

Go for it and take a back seat. When you feel circumstances are better, return to contracting and blag your CV accordingly.

This would be my approach for sure.

Argh - warchest is low and Mrs MUN is currently recovering from an operation. I was so wanting to reduce stress levels for the next month or two!!!
Explain closing down a company is not simple as you need to bring all your tax affairs up to date etc, but would be quite willing to take a permie job if they offered you a 12 month ext now.

You could push for a Directorship to show you're serious about being perm with them, and share options, current daily rate x 1000 as salary, but daily rate x 500 as pension contributions per year (Indexed linked) etc etc

By straight and narrow, do you mean the canal tow-path again?

It wouldn't have been if no one had quoted me as even if he saw it he would have to pretend he didn't!

It was the best example I could think of which was also a reference that CUKers would get.

Shares. You want shares if you're going perm.
