Just picked up my new (to me) video camera. I may have to try my hand at making a film.

This one's quite good/safe - it's electric and the saw bit is at the end of a long pole with the switch at the other end, so you physically can't get hands/face in the way while operating it. I suppose, if determined, you could cut your feet off, but you'd have to have your hands above your head to reach.Originally posted by doodab View PostI'm not sure I have the physical strength to use one safely anymore. I do like tools though I'm more into precision engineering. I'd like a mini lathe and mill if I had the space.

This place in Köln is pretty good as well: MUSIC STORE professional - Home they have signs up saying no Stairway to Heaven, One Nation Army, etc. to be played on the guitars when trying them outOriginally posted by doodab View PostI'm often tempted when I look on there. Heiber Lindberg in Munich was a cracking shop as well. We just don't seem to have music shops like that over here any more.

. Either this:
Tenayo SW301 Silent NA - Thomann UK
or this:
Traveler Guitars Ultra Light NAT Steel - Thomann UK
So that I can play in my hotel room without annoying the other guests too much

I usually get mine from thomann. Even with the postage they are better value. The cordial ones are well made, I have quite a lot of those.Originally posted by Zippy View PostMr Z moved the mixing desk and mini keyboard into our living area yesterday (apparently it's 'too cold' in their own room). £99 doesn't sound 'gedgety' enough, does it?Originally posted by zeitghost'ere, where did I see the advert for a robohoover the other day?

I've suggested getting a robot hoover to ms doodab but it would be fairly useless with the lego all over the floor and so on. We need a robot with arms to tidy up first.
