    If he wants there to be a century long war against extremist religion then I think we should give him a gun and parachute him into Afghanistan, then leave him to his war whilst the rest of us get on with our lives.

    edit: and whilst he's at it he can send his own children in to fight too, instead of sending those of others.

    Labour also tried to introduce in effect a Statute of Proclamations, which would have allowed them to make up new laws on the hoof without having to bother Parliament.

    Perhaps the biggest battle of the 21st century will be the same as the biggest battle of the 20th century: against the scurge of nationalism. Hopefully it'll be less violent this time.

    It was last Christmas. I was invited to a Christmas curry lunch and and evening Mexican meal. Well I din't want to turn it down so I went to both.
