The whole political class is deeply lying to the British people, and from such a small section of society, and the way parliamentary candidates are selected is so rigged that democracy is a sham.

Shadow chancellor Ed Balls makes "binding fiscal commitment" if the Labour Party wins next year’s general election.

Isn't this the same promise made by the Tories?

    Fat lot of choice there.

Vote for anybody apart from the same rotten lot we've had for the last 20 years.

    Vote Green
    Vote Communist
Vote UKIP! (<---this one!, this one!)

Policies will be more or less the same, but Liebour will have higher income/CGT/indirect taxes.

Assuming the Tories have achieved what they state they have and are not just relying on cheap central bank finance to buoy the economy up (which is now a global phenomenon)...

But no, it doesn't really matter. All three parties implement the same policies and the only difference is how they calibrate them, with a few percentage point differences here and there on how much pelf they intend to extract or how many billions/trillions they intend to spend and finance through borrowing or money printing.

They'll borrow it of course. And bankrupt the country again.

Will they dare raise taxes further? We'll see.

Yes, if they raise taxes on the "well off" [anyone not on benefits] I do see a flaw in the plan !

Seriously, does it make any material difference to us?

Have you bothered to ask where labour are going to get the money from or are you of the "money grows on trees" set?
