    Medical apps + hardware

More of a prediction for the next few of years.

One of the things I think that'll be as big as tape cassette Walkman's to MP3 players is the way we monitor our health.

I reckon our passive approach that comes from our GP shall largely be replaced by a much more active experience in that we have apps that monitor our health; blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels.

A recent article I read in the IEEE magazine, a bluetooth ring on your finger (much like a normal ring) that's able to measure all three of the above and transmit the data to your smartphone for analysis. Wow.

We're moving into an area of monitoring our health, preventing illness before it takes a grip. The collation of historical data is the exciting bit for me. Gathering and using this information could be more revealing in ways a consultation with the GP could never be.

And it does not stop there. Toxins measured in our systems, who and where those people are, patterns shared amongst the populous. It's very exciting.

Looking for plan B? Get into medical apps pronto.

Er, are we looking for predictions for 2014, or a review of 2013 ?
