When I a two slipped disks in my neck I was on a bundle of drugs and still managed to get a migraine headache. After 2 days, the doctor sent me to the hospital were they dripped anti-migraine stuff into my veins, while carefully monitoring my vital signs. Thirty minutes later all the pain was gone. Which was nice.
The docs said the migraine was probably caused by all the medication.
Topical pain relief:
Hot towel around your neck
Hot flannel on the face, alternated by cold flannel.
Saline nasal spray
Morphine will remove the pain. But it may make you feel very nauseous for a while.

If you're going to ingest something, it being "natural" won't stop it interacting with the cocktail of drugs you're already taking.
Unless you mean something that you don't actually take, such as the massage suggestions, and so on, then there is a danger of taking something "natural" where the chemicals that make it up will still cause problems. Natural things are just as chemical as man-made drugs, just generally less effective.

Have you got someone who can give you a neck/shoulder massage?
You can do it yourself but it's not the same (back to the sex and alcohol...
)

Methotrexate and steroids for me. And ivig. Along with a bunch of other stuff. Though came off cold turkey a couple of months back. No side effects, just symptoms again.Originally posted by Bellona View Postthanks OG, doesn't work for me - hence the Co-Codamol.
I am on methotrexate, steroids and high dose co-codamol and high dose delayed release ibuprofen, so the usual meds (presription or otherwise, either react with these, or haven't worked in the past). Hence, the search for natural.
Appreciate you taking the time for suggesting though
( and have been a good girl since your previous post and avoided telly! even went out for an hour or so today before feeling dog rough!)
Anyway, ime, I have generally found that anything I need is fine when I check it with my docs. Caution is needed rather than contra indicated.
