It is of course possible that those calling X biased see it as biased because they are biased themselves, but thinking they are not biased view anything which doesn't support their views as biased. But of course such people are biased and don't realise it so there's no point telling them because they'll simply think you're biased.Originally posted by Lockhouse View PostI think you've called that one wrong.

ATW just read the independent. Then if you have time read the guardian balanced out by the telegraph.

Me to. It's amazing how biased the unbiased BBC is when you compare to AJ. It's like comparing the Daily Mail to the Guardian.Originally posted by RedSauce View PostI gave up on the BBC years ago, only really watch Al Jazeera for news now

What pisses me off more than anything is when BBC News (TV and Radio) starts talking about TV shows - who's won X-Factor, who's got their tits out in the jungle, what's happening on EastEnders.
Since when was the news an advertising or TV listings service?

not only news, the same applies to the most premature and baseless speculationOriginally posted by gricerboy View PostThere is something of a stuck record quality to news these days.
As soon as anything happens, like that recent helicopter crash on the pub in Scotland, a talking head is waffling away at the scene on a ten minute loop and no one is really much the wiser.
Or so I'm told - On the rare occasions I watch the news at all, I change channels right after the hourly headlines. That's all one needs to know.

Gricer's prediction:
Somebody somewhere will post or tweet something offensive about NM and it will be all over the Daily Mail for days on end.
There is something of a stuck record quality to news these days.
