Or you could subscribe to Forgotten Books, and get a free ebook each day.

Some of them are deservedly forgotten, for one reason or another (usually the advance of knowledge since it was published), but there are also some gems.

I couldn't find the subscription page for the daily emails, but the daily "free to download" ebook is also listed on their Facebook page here.

I went through Firebox.com and found a few things that I thought "that's cool / clever", but weren't things that I would buy myself.
