My work laptop has a normal size display port for connecting to monitor, my personal Leneovo has a mini display port, my screen is HDMI. Here's an idea stick TO ONE STANDARD PORT TYPE YOU BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!!!!!!!

You need a dot-matrix printer and echo your commands to LPT1

+1 and thunderport/mini dp to HDMI is a common cable £5 delivered from the UK on the bay.

No really complaining about the price, but surely by now everything should be wireless if it's close range?

i..e I place by laptop near my monitor, the monitor and laptop detect each other and I get the option on my laptop to display on the monitor.
