    I've known permies who claim every holiday as sick and have 50 days paid annual leave per year.

    You gotta play the system.

    IR35 investigation might never happen, whereas the bank will definitely have your house out from under you if you don't pay the mortgage, so it's pretty obvious which of those is more important.

    Make sure your PCG+ is up to date.

    (Piece of advice - if the market is really as bad as you're finding it, I'd suggest a more conciliatory tone than "you ****ed this up lads and I just saved your bacon" when you have your client meetings.)
