Being all white serves a purpose

In the 1970s, a Labour government decided to debunk the myth that white men are inherently superior. They approached some dedicated but unemployed left wing actors to produce a parody of what happened if you selected a dozen or so white men based purely on whether they drank with the right people and put them in charge of a high profile national organisation.

Originally, Kenny Everett was going to play the part of Chairman of the FA, but he was found to seem far to competent in football management.

By a bureaucratic mishap what was supposed to be the successor to Fawlty Towers, they accidentally ended up in charge of the FA, but like the Japanese solders who never surrendered after WWII, they struggle on, every day undermining the status of overweight white men with a fondness for lunchtime drinks.

As alcohol abuse thinned their numbers, they've chosen various white male street people from both Britain and abroad and as part of their therapy allowed them to run important parts of out footballing establishment, where necessary hiring pretty secretaries for them to screw as part of their re-socialisation.

She does have a point though, considering the England football team contains such a disproportionately high percentage of black players.

Kick It Out chairman Lord Ouseley said he had raised the issue of the commission with Dyke, and questioned why he had not used Rabbatts' contacts and experience to bring on a suitable representative.

Possibly because at the moment there aren't any? A problem with pro-minority, affirmative action is that, although well meant, does quite often meant that the wrong people are put into a job for which they do not have enough knowledge and experience and so pressure is put on them and eventually they fail and then Daily Mail readers can use the "I told you so" rhetoric and once again the do gooders have in effect scored an own goal.

former England manager Glenn Hoddle (I'd have thought after the cripple bashing he'd be persona non grata)
ex-England defender Danny Mills (erm, why? couldn't they get anyone else?)
League Managers' Association chairman Howard Wilkinson (ok fair enough, you'd expect the organization to be represented)
Professional Footballers' Association chairman Ritchie Humphreys (again fair enough, you'd expect the organization to be represented)
Football League chairman Greg Clarke (perhaps we should start raiding the lower leagues?)
Crewe director of football Dario Gradi (arguably the most qualified person on the panel)

So of those, I'd say two individuals and two organizational representatives should be there. A few of them I would eject on principle. I'd say Paul Ince has a strong case for being the token black man, and I'd have added the current England manager, on the basis that he's worked overseas a lot and hence brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the table.

Still, it's the called the FA because that's what they do.
