It's relevant to the arguement - this so called "war on terror" is costing disproportinate amount of everything - money, time and freedom.

I bet UK security people have slightly mixed feelings about it though, given that Snowden is a Yank so in a way his leaks (and those of previous recent US moles like Bradley Manning and Aldrich Ames) eclipse former UK perps like Michael Bettany and Klaus Fuchs and of course Philby & co.
