Whilst the Mail and everyone who pays money for it are beneath contempt, the lamentable spectacle of Alistair Campbell trying to pretend he occupies some kind of moral high ground away from the scum who run a lot of the media in this country is pretty sickening.

I think its backfiring on the Mail a bit here with a number of companies dropping advertising (Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Waitrose) and with the latest revelation that a Mail reporter sneaked into a private event to dig up dirt shows that they're ******* of the highest order. I just wish one of the major papers decide to make the Mail's Nazi and Anti-Semitic background frontpage news, maybe dig into how come the editor's (Dacre) father never served in the war, but they won't as they have some limits. Mind you, the Mail is still a cracking good read for bigots...

Although I can't say I ever listened to his speeches, so I have to take it on faith that he did so, but if he keeps banging on about how his father was an inspiration etc. - he's opened the door...
