Why not write to them, you will probably get a gift voucher.Originally posted by nomadd View PostDon't get me started about my trip to M&S today...
But seem as though you have, I'll detail it in full.
1. Old cow in front of me at the checkout has bought supplies for six months. Why? She's got all f--king week to shop! All other tills full of long queues...
2. Woman on till runs out of bags. Leaves till and spends an age trying to find some...
3. Woman and Old cow take 10 minutes to put everything into bags...
4. Old cow has then forgot her PIN number...
5. Spends 5 minutes going through her purse...
6. Tries again. Doesn't get it right...
7. Has a panic attack...
8. Tries again. Doesn't get it right, so card is now locked out...
9. Spends 5 minutes getting another card out of her purse...
10. Enters correct PIN. Result! But...
11. Transaction rejected as the receipt printer refuses to operate...
12. Wait whilst several M&S women make an even worse state of the printer...
13. Whole transaction put through again. Receipt printer refuses to operate again...
14. Wait until a MAN comes to fix it...
15. Whole transaction put through again. Woman on till asks Old cow if she want "cash back?"
16. Old cow asks for £25.
17. Whole transaction fails again as the cash register refuses to open...
18. Try again. Fails again...
19. And again...
20. Me and the queue of people behind now grab baskets from the front of the store, and remove all our shopping from the belt.
21. Move to another till. So I'm now at the BACK of the queue.
22. Woman in queue ahead of me (who was BEHIND me at first till queue) is now being served...
23. Is asked if she wants "cash back?"
24. Says she does...
25. Whole transaction fails as this NEW cash till refuses to open...
26. Wait five minutes while a bloke comes to fix it, as the manageress - about 30 years more experienced - can't seem to handle it. Again.
Leave store 30 minutes after I got there. My shopping only took 5 minutes. Then rest of the time was spent just trying to get through a checkout. Not one single member of staff found it within their professional training programme to actually apologise to any of the customers who had to wait so long to get through the tills. B'stards.
Will never, ever visit that M&S again.
Back to my local Sainsburys, who've never let me down in 15 years of polite, professional and courteous service.
