One thing I like(d) about Cambridge is it's sunny a lot, and everyone seems to 'make an effort'; everything is well maintained, clean and tidy. Oh, and the calibre of the ladies walking around the centre is seldom surpassed.Originally posted by Old Hack View Post
What's Cambridge like? I have never been there (apart from mild and grey).
:
Some good boozers too, check out "The Champion of The Thames" and "St. Radegund" for two good ones.

Not too bad, fairly flat and thus handy for cycling.Originally posted by Old Hack View PostGot a gig coming up in Cambridge. 2 weeks, then wfh until project ends. 4 months work, maybe a stage 2.

For 2 weeks it isn't worth getting lodgings. But I've been based here almost two years and pay £100 a week for a large room in a shared house, which seems pretty reasonable these days. Also it's handy to be able to leave clobber here over the weekend when I'm back in London.
