    I did, but I'm staying far enough away from site that a cab works out more expensive than the car I've rented.

    Plus, the freedom to be able to go anywhere at any speed any time I want is always nice to have

    Have you considered taxis? You'll only need 10 fares a week, in many cases on a given dat this will work out cheaper than renting the car for the whole 24hrs, less hassle and you can work on the go
