Before I moved in management I performed remote backups and restores with Storage Tech units using ADSM and Rexx.
I have installed and run Legato, Veritas and another that escapes me. Sure we had teething problems but they soon get resolved.
In my last roll my server guys had backsups down pat...in fact virtually all the jobs I've been involved with I have never had a restrore issue.

The permies are in a tizzy.
It seems that the network drive they save all their work to has blown up and no one had checked to see if it was being backed up.
I naturally have proper backups of all my work.
