I expect he doesn't get irony, the snooty, mealy-mouthed, divisive, goggle-eyed, frog-faced twunt!!

Socialists - always pro-free speech, as long as you're saying what they want to hear.

See what you did there with just the Mail comments showing it as a pro-independence anti-English thingy whereas in the leftie press:

The Ukip leader was finally whisked away in a police riot van under a tirade of abuse from a crowd of about 50 young demonstrators – students, anti-racist campaigners and activists in the radical left pro-Scottish independence movement – after being forced to retreat not once, twice or three times, but four times.
It wasn't. Not entirely. The protesters disagreed. Many said they were there to protest at Ukip's stance on immigration and the political backgrounds of Ukip's motley collection of local council candidates; others were there to protest against his party's obscure economic policies.

A loudmouthed English chap in an Edinburgh pub? Hardly typical of Scotland he should hire better researchers.

The ugly face of Scottish Nationalism

UKIP leader Nigel Farage was yesterday rescued from a pub by a police riot van after a visit to Scotland descended into chaos.

An angry mob of left-wing and pro-independence protesters stormed an Edinburgh bar and hurled offensive abuse at the politician.
Offensive chants included ‘you can stick your Union Jack up your a***’ and ‘go back to England, you’re not welcome here’
Amid the ugly scenes, Mr Farage said: 'We have never had a reception like this anywhere in Britain before. It is clearly anti-British and anti-English.'

He added: 'They hate the Union Jack, so maybe that’s what it’s about.'

Speaking after the event, Mr Farage said: 'Normally I would love to be locked in a pub, but it was pretty unpleasant. It’s not something I’ve experienced myself anywhere else in the United Kingdom.

'If this is the face of Scottish nationalism, it’s a pretty ugly picture.'
This was dressed up as an anti-racism protest, but it was nothing of the sort – it was an anti-English thing.'
