Brilliant result for my home town club

Difference though between this final and the crazy gang in the sense that Wimbledon were 7/8th in the league whereas wigan in the bottom 3.

But the surprise was the same. Wimbledon were seen as a small pub team with no place in the top division, and Liverpool were champions and still seen as the best team in Europe despite their ban.
