Get about 6-7 hours on a school night. NorPussII since his brother's demise has taken over purring loudly from 5am onwards, whereas NorPussI meows loudly from about the same time.
On weekends I try to sleep longer.

I never knew my ex, with her "snoring at both ends", was masquerading as a sleep cycle alarm.

You should call the army about that. I believe it's 11 EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Regiment who can help.

I've always wanted to try polyphasic sleep, but never had the time to lose the few weeks while you adjust.

    Like in submarines.
You can get alarm clocks now with an alarm tone, like mobiles.

I'd recommend a pinging submarine sonar, with an ever louder echo and propellor sounds.

That'll get you out of bed in a hurry.

minimum 8 hours at a stretch. So I try to go to bed at 10 pm, and wake up at 6 am. Weekends I sleep more. I need my sleep.

    What is you sleep pattern?

Generally I'm in bed by midnight and up again around 6:30.

Just read this which was quite an interesting article about a split sleep cycle a few hundreds years back.

Working...
