Actually that is a good point - my kids kept me up half the night and my brain simply is not switching on today. Luckily I am just fighting automated build servers in TFS so brain work is not really required.Originally posted by Ketchup View PostI am failing to see the boom in this.

Double boom and double swing and miss
Got an email through linked-in from a recruiter in a company asking whether I would be interested in working permamently there ... we chatted back and forth and he mentioned that the salary is 45k. I sent him the calculations as to why this would not be enough and explained that when I was a perm a few years ago I was on quite a bit more than this. I have not had a reply.
Got a phone call today about a place in the centre of London for a perm job. They asked how much I wanted and I told them, complete with a breakdown of the commute costs etc. I have not had a reply.
I have heard that contractor rates are dropping like stones. It would seem that perm ones are too
