Had this attitude from perm managers, asking me how the ir35 is going, and most of them earned more than me this year.
All I can say is wank*rs

Originally posted by FranckoThat is so pitiful of so many permies little scale managers that they hate contractors. I have to hear this all the time. No contractors, no contractors.... blah, blah, no loyalty, no commitment, no involvment, and so many other crap; can't they just realise that they are simply jealous because of their peanuts paying jobs and they can't find a decent paid contract, instead of justifying their failure that contractors aren't the right choice? They just look like miserable tw@ts.
Everyday is a push towards the edge....

Originally posted by FranckoThat's because they're spineless individuals. They know that they can't be blamed if they paid for the XXXXX Major IT Bullcr@p Consultancy. They wouldn't be able to spot a good contractor as otherwise this means that they would be just as good, and therefore they would be contractors too.
Add to that that each permie added is an increase of the political power of their empire and the result is all clear now.
Wake up and smell the coffee. If you are a pure-play averagely good techie the only places you will be able to work soon will be the "XXXXX Major IT Bullcr@p Consultancy."
Either gain more specialised business skills, become a contractor (where you sell your commoditised IT skill) or be a slave for the big XXXXX Major IT Bullcr@p Consultancy.

Many firms will not pay good money for a contractor but they are very happy to pay ten times the amount to a large consultancy or firm to do job that requires one worker being paid a pittance. The same goes for scum permies, they hate to see contractors get good money but they are quite happy to see an outside consultancy being paid £2,000 a day in exchange for an on site worker getting £16 an hour.
