Well, it doesn't have to be quite as famous as Michael Owen, just someone that several of us have at least heard of.

Ad absurdum, there's no point asking one like "I was a painter and decorator and supported Wolves" - answer - my uncle Dennis.

A good first go. However, and I might be wrong here, but I suspect hardly anybody had heard of him and had to google, which rather misses the point of a "who am I" quiz. People should at least go "Oh, him" at the end.

So for example, off the top of my head, "I scored my first league goal against Wimbledon"
