    A Trifling Matter

    I'm going to make a trifle for Christmas. This will be my 3rd attempt.

    In previous attempts, I've always found that it goes all runny. I'm guessing that this is because I am adding sherry (not too much, I'm following a recipe).

    How can I stop my trifle from going all runny? I know there are one or two culinary types on here so eagerly awaiting your answers.
