Experian were good, I used their service to monitor until I was happy nothing else was going on.
Same here with experian, I set up alerts for any activity on my account. I even got emailed when i used confused.com to compare car insurance. The alerts notified me that a credit search was done, including the a ref and telephone number, so I could follow it up.

Your credit rating has just been lowered because of this post.

This is a myth - I'm suprised so many people are taken in by it.

Your own searches are recorded for your own viewing - potential lenders cannot see them.

Too many applications for credit is what lowers your credit worthiness, it makes you look desperate.

Yep, I receive email alerts from Experian. However it does not give details of the new info, just that your credit has been affected.

Take a look at the Experian website, they probably have something like what you're looking for.

I get told by Experian when anyone performs a credit check on me (for ID fraud purposes).

I'm looking for something that gives you current credit rating and gives you e-mail alerts and CR changes if there is a credit event recorded against you. Something that could possibly check Equifax, Experian etc.

It would be good if it doesn't leave a record of when you are looking at your own credit rating on the fore-mentioned Credit Ratings agencies, as I've been told that if you inspect your own credit rating too many times this could in itself lower your Credit Rating.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
