Me and a mate took out two armed robbers who held up the pub we were drinking in, he's an ex para and I might be a fat, knackered auld fck but I can move. This was the sixth pub they'd done in a month, the local cops will back us up forever and I drank in that pub free for a year.

You do have to be careful though. About 20 years ago there was an armed robbery at a local pub, but various things about the tale didn't quite add up; the till was left full of money for example.

Word on the street had it that 20 grand or so of drugs money had gone missing.

I was driving one day approaching traffic lights. Lights were on red so I began slowing down to a stop, as you would.

Some 10 y/o kid jumps out of a bush and threw something at my car, didn't break any glass/etc, but I shouted at him calling him a knobhead. Little **** starts chasing me on his bike, by himself

It begars believe. I could have easily knocked him out, but saw sense being an adult (and not wanting to do time) and drove off.

I flagged some copper down the road and told him what happened. He just said "you did the right thing mate"

Old enough to do the crime old enough to do the time and suffer any other consequences.

No prisoners ever whatever their age. This country will be a better place with a zero tolerance policy. Somebody mention a 12 bore? That's just for starters.

Indeed. Part of the issue is that these days they all have mobile phones with cameras. As Clarkson found out.

Caught some young chavs pulling off signs for the local park that the missus had put up for a local fete we had organised, one clocked me and legged it, so I cycled over shouting 'oi', lo and behold completely unphased then started to give me a load of 'not me mate', 'nah he's been with me all day mate', nice and cocky. So I'm afraid I told them not to be ******* liars to whit classically one of the cheeky twats threatened to call the police saying 'you can't talk to us like that'. Bricked it

Serious question here but what the score with running after them, grabbing hold of him and frog marching him back to yours after a bit of a scuffle? More likely the police will arrest you and not him? Can you even do that nowadays?

If they are bold enough to go making alot of noise I suspect they are going to be quite tough ruffians. Even if they are well spoken. Maybe the 12 bore solution is the correct one.

Citizens arrest. The injuries the burglar sustained were due to him falling down the stairs while running away down the street.
