    Really?
Just last night my wife called me on her MOBILE because she wasn't sure she had enough petrol left in the car to get home and she had left her PURSE at home

I thought Apple would use NFC and consequently it would take off - they have a knack of taking things which already exist, 'inventing them' and seeing them gain mass acceptance where they previously couldn't.

But I agree NFC especially in your phone is a gimmick. Nobody is going to take their phone but not their credit card/wallet so it's not actually achieving anything.

I kind of feel the same about contactless charging, it's very cool but not really that useful (except the part where Starbucks can build chargers into the tables).

Don't get me wrong, I applaud them for being upto date, its just a shame they are the only people who are.

NFC, the solution for a problem that doesn't exist!

No, but then again the only shop I have seen in the UK that accepts NFC payments is Maccie D's!

I personally think the Nokia launch was better in terms of features even though it doesn't quite garner the following that the iPhone has

Does the new iPhone enable one to make and receive phone calls, unlike most of the previous models? (Oh look one bar of signal, whoopee!)

I like Apple products, I own quite a few of them, but come on. This is just taking the piss. It all goes into a USB socket at the other end anyway.

I love this video 36 seconds in for the comment on the adapter
