He didn't move abroad to avoid paying taxes in Scotland.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View Post"Stop saying Murray's British - he's Scottish for Christ's sake" said legendary Scottish actor Sean Connery.
Who is so proud of his country's independence that he moved abroad to avoid paying taxes there.
Last time I checked, Scotland did not set or collect taxes.

Oh and well done Andy. Interestingly to win their first grand slam Federer had to beat Philipousis, Djokovic had to beat Tsonga and Nadal had to beat Mariano Puerta. Just shows how much tougher Andy has had it trying to get his first - hope he goes on and wins a hatfull now...

Is Nadal not constantly injured at the moment or something ?Originally posted by d000hg View PostHe's a Scot, and well done to him. Nadal seems a bit off the boil, Federer is #1 and Djokovic has been beaten in two slams on the trot so hopefully the game is more open to the top 4 this year.
I think Murray's experience in the Olympics and having Lendl as a coach has probably helped him with that mental aspect of 'getting over the finishing line'. I might be wrong but I'm sure his previous coaches didn't have that kind of major experience. Was Lendl not also the one who couldn't win Slams on grass but was lethal on clay ?

What's the betting?

And the end titles start with him fulfilling his dream of being handed a Green Card by newly elected US President Mandela.
Sport based films are always crap. Robert Duvall came over to Scoland a few years back to make a football film, think it was called 'A shot at glory' or some such tulipe. He was 'presented to the fans' at half time of a Kilmarnock/Motherwell game, as they were using Kilmarnock's stadium for filming. When he was introduced as 'Hollywood Superstar, Robert Duvall' his speech was drowned out with choruses of 'F**k Off Baldy'. That short cameo appearance was still better than the film
