    True. And yes that was the name of it. I think Ive become a bit more blasé now a car upgrade is about a months invoicing.

    Theres a few nice 2009 A4's on Ebay. Nice colour, low mileage. Come on, you're worth it

    Yes but any of that could go on the replacement £1000 car I buy as well, at least with this one I know it's not going to need a new clutch for a while. The seal is probably the head gasket BTW.

    Not especially, but it's a nice car and fairly low mileage, why pay £1000 for another car that's in worse condition when I can get this one fixed for less?

    Is this a special version or something? As a quick look on Ebay shows a lot of 2000 plate A4s for around £1000. Old cars are just not economical to fix, I aim to change every 5 years. Though admittedly my last one was 7 years.
